Three days ago, my Mom became a resident. Although it is early days, my Mom's decision has been affirmed positively many times. Palazzo's staff are caring, happy, well-trained and eager to help. We received clear and comprehensive answers from management and staff throughout the planning and due diligence that we did before Mom signed-off on Palazzo. We were blown away by the delicious meals that we tried. We were greeted by friendly employees who took an interest in our needs and answered all of our questions. The newly renovated common areas of Palazzo are very well-designed and attractive. The residents of Palazzo, who we met in the Bistro or dining areas, expressed pride at calling it home. The move-in went smoothly. Mom's apartment was freshly painted and deep-cleaned. We were able to move in with all the furniture and accessories she needed. A surprise, complimentary A beautiful orchid and a hors-d'oeuvre plate arrived at her apartment on moving day. We were exhausted after a long day. What a nice touch!

This is a beautiful place! It was a great home for my mom. It was a difficult decision to put my mother into assisted living. LeiAn, the Director of Sales, was able to help me through this stressful time. Her vast knowledge in caregiving allowed her to help me make the most difficult decision for my mother. She is professional, very understanding, and has a lot of energy and patience. She truly cares about you, your loved ones, your home and all those she meets. She is an angel to me! It would be inaccurate to say this is a care facility. This is a CARING facility, and that is the big difference. The staff is amazing. Emily, Front Desk Concierge is always happy to welcome you with a smile. Nancy, the Head Chef, is a talented and amazing cook. Christian, the Waiter, greets each guest by name. After one day, he remembered my mom's name. My mom's needs are met by the nursing staff. Dina, the new Activities Director is positive and enthusiastic. Everyone I have met is friendly. It is very clean. It is clear that my mother is loved and well taken care of. We are so grateful to you all. Thank you so much!

Although the building is old, many of its features make up for it. Residents can enjoy many activities and the outdoors allow them to take advantage of the great weather. They decorate beautifully for holidays and allow residents to smoke during these times. Residents receive better and more frequent care because there is a greater staff-to-resident ratio.

Brookdale provided excellent care for my mother. Cindy, Cindy F. and Cole Williams have provided excellent care for my Mother. I am very impressed by the nurses, caregivers, and staff who keep her alive. My Mother's life expectancy has exceeded that of her doctors. My Mother is treated like a mother of their own by the Dimensia and Alzheimer's wing. Brookdale is truly a blessing to me. I don't miss Brookdale when I'm out of town. It is a great relief not to have to worry about my Mother’s care. Thank you Brookdale !! !

Pacifica was the perfect choice for my mother. I had already looked at several places but was disappointed with the care they provided for my mom. When I entered Pacifica Memory Care, I was amazed at all they had to offer me. This was the right fit for Mom, I knew. The large porches, trees and walkways as well as the garden setting are what she loves. We have been there for 2 years and love the staff. They treat Mom with great love, the food is excellent, and my Mom loves going on the special field trips. The family dinners once a month are a highlight. She agrees that she is safe and secure. This was the best decision that I made for Mom. Both of us want to thank all the staff for their love and care.

Every memory care community in Phoenix, Arizona is licensed and inspected by Arizona Department of Health Services — Assisted Living Facilities. Arizona licenses two settings: Assisted Living Home and Assisted Living Center. Some Phoenix-area communities hold different licence types, so ask which one a community holds when you tour. Communities must meet standards for staffing, caregiver training, medication administration, and building safety, with managers and staff completing continuing in-service training each year.
Before you tour, it's worth confirming a community's license status and inspection history. Our advisors do this as part of every Phoenix shortlist.
Assisted Living Home
Small residential setting licensed for up to 10 residents, often in a single-family-style home.
Assisted Living Center
Larger apartment-style community licensed for 11 or more residents, with campus amenities and clinical staffing.
Assisted Living Facility (Directed Care)
Higher-acuity licence for residents who need more supervision and hands-on daily care, including cognitive support.
Arizona-licensed Memory Care communities serve seniors who need daily help with activities like bathing, dressing, medications, or meals but who don't require continuous skilled nursing. Phoenix communities complete a health and needs assessment before move-in to confirm they can provide the right level of care under state licensing rules.
