What families say about Houston communities

Nursing Home

My father lived there for many years. He was first able to live independently with the help of an agency on-site. Treemont was the best option for my dad because he can age in his own home and not have to move to a new place. Once he was ready, the staff assisted him in moving to assisted living and helped him adjust to his surroundings. They helped to arrange hospice and provided loving and supportive care for all of us when it was time. It was the right place for my father.

This facility was a great place for my sister-in-law to recuperate for nearly a month. She received excellent care during her stay. All patients and visitors are treated with kindness by the staff. My sister-in-law felt at home and made friendships with many patients and staff. She was impressed by the variety of activities and made plans to volunteer in the community again. The Concierge deserves a lot of praise!

My dad is there with VA-outsourced hospice care. The location was initially a concern for me, but it has since been removed. It is clean and the staff are caring, loving, and concerned for my dad. He is called Grandpa by the staff. They have always responded quickly to any concern I had about his treatment or cleaning his room. He is comfortable with the staff. I visit him everyday. Perhaps that is the key to your loved one’s care. Your involvement. It was a pleasure to meet other lonely residents and offer a helping hand. Afton Oakes is a great place to live.
