First, I want to mention that the staff and management go above and beyond every day! Independent Living is a home for my parents. They love it! My husband and I really appreciated the way it was managed during COVID-19. To ensure the safety of residents, the site was secured very quickly. This allowed for less than one person to be effected. This shows how serious they took providing protection. My husband and me felt that my parents were in the best place possible. All the residents' needs were met by the management. This site should serve as a model for other similar sites. I urge everyone to visit The Heritage of Clara Barton. It is the ideal place for anyone in need.

I see the negative thoughts, and I must say that I don't agree with them. My father died peacefully there during his final hospice stay. The in-house hospice service was adequate for me. The facility is a good deal considering you have to pay full-time nursing care at assisted living costs. What's more, my dad told me 3 days before his death that if he had to die anywhere, this wasn't a terrible deal. They made sure that I was there to support my dad until the end. They will always be in my heart.

My mom, who has Alzheimer's disease, was treated by the Shorrock Gardens staff with great care. They are kind and compassionate in their care for my mom's well being. I am always kept informed by them. It is truly a blessing to have such a great team caring for my mom.
