I'm a very independent person and find it hard to ask for help. I was faced with many challenges during my time in the house. I was in a rehabilitation facility, and was unable to return home to my husband's residence with 24-hour care. He was waiting to be admitted to Henry Ford Village's assisted living department. My daughter and caregiver worked closely with the resident counselors and the move-in coordinator to find and prepare an apartment. I have been able to reach out to the staff with ease. They are kind, compassionate, helpful, and efficient when I contact them. Initially, it was difficult for me to reach my husband in assisted living because of the pandemic. But Michael was accommodating and resolved the matter.
